CHARACTER INFO

Name: A.B.A
Canon: Guilty Gear
Canon Point: End of her arcade story in -Strive-
Age: Unknown, looks like she's in her 20s
Species: Homunculus

History: Here

Personality:

✽ What is your character's main motivation? What drives them and keeps them going?
A.B.A wants the world, she wants the whole world. ...Not literally, of course. Thanks to years of isolation, A.B.A finds many things new and exciting, even if they're scary. Instead of plain ol' regular "people-watching," A.B.A takes it up a notch and partakes in "world-watching," constantly traveling and never staying in one place for too long. This is also fueled by her other main motivation, Paracelsus, the love of her life. Her ultimate goal is to find a suitable body for her "husband," so they can retire and live out all her marriage-related fantasies. You will hear her talk about him. A lot. I'm so sorry.

✽ What is their biggest regret? Why?
A.B.A's immature personality means she more than likely doesn't regret as much as she probably should. She has a...very high opinion of herself, which makes it difficult to find any of her actions wrong or worth regretting. Even things like not leaving to see the world sooner could be rebutted by saying that leaving any earlier would mean she could've missed meeting Paracelsus by not being in the right place at the right time. If she DOES regret anything, it'd probably be during her first real heart-to-heart with her beloved husband and regretting that she upset him so much that they had to have that talk in the first place. She's agreed that she needs to change, however isn't sure if she's capable of it. That said, she wants to try. She's still leaning.

✽ What is their worst fear? Their greatest comfort?
As you can probably imagine coming from someone who started life devoid of any contact, A.B.A is terrified of being alone. Whoops. She's especially terrified of Paracelsus ever leaving her, which is why she originally chained him to her. She....got a little better and downgraded to a leash. Even though her biggest goal is getting Paracelsus his own human body, she's actually scared that having legs will mean he'll walk right on out of her life. Throwing her into a new world completely by herself is such a great idea, I am very smart.

As for comforts, many will notice right off the bat that A.B.A has a whole key thing going for her. Once again, this has everything to do with her isolated upbringing, as she sees keys as a symbol of expanding her world. She's obsessed with them, collects them, wears them, marries them. Although Paracelsus is an axe, his key-shaped body is enough for A.B.A to think otherwise and consider him the greatest key of all. If she's ever upset, you can literally jingle keys at her and she'll more than likely calm down. Recently, she's also become pretty obsessed with the color blue, going as far as to dye her hair. As you can see, like everyone else who tries to dye their hair blue for the first time, she messed it up and it's green/turquoise now. A.B.A's hair is naturally red. This is the actual lore behind the hair change.

✽ Top three strengths?
-Kindness: IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT??? Despite the first impressions A.B.A tends to give, she actually values kindness a great deal and has no malice in her heart. She has a strong distaste for people who don't value their friends, especially for someone who doesn't have many. It's this kindness and compassion that keeps her from being a real threat, if she wanted to hurt people, she would.

-Curiosity: A.B.A loves learning and exploring, enough to push through her fear of...everything. She's an avid reader and thanks to being a homunculus, she can pick up skills far faster than the average person. It's this curiosity that keeps A.B.A interacting with the world, without it she'd probably still be locked up in the mansion.

-Willpower: A.B.A is noted for having an extraordinary willpower. This may sound like typical shonen-level anime nonsense, but it's this willpower that kept Paracelsus from initially using his mind control powers on her. (Did I mention the love of her life is a demon axe??? It's fine, they're past that. It's fine.) The worst part is she didn't even realize that was a thing that was happening, or attempted to happen. Her will is described as tenacious, if she wants to do something, she'll do it. If she doesn't want to do it? She won't do it. It makes her difficult to work with sometimes. Wait I thought this was strengths-

✽ Top three weaknesses?
-Social awkwardness: The big one. A.B.A started her life isolated in a mansion for ten whole years, only having books to guide her. This has made her incredibly shy and timid, and the way she handles it? WELL, A.B.A has concluded that the best way to come off as competent is to act authoritative and belligerent. As she is terrified of confrontation, it is not uncommon for her to throw insults upon first meeting, usually in hopes that you'll leave her alone. No, you cannot convince her this is a horrible way to go about things. Yes, she does think she's very smart. She will also try to use big words or phrases, and often times will mess these up. ("Like a sloth to a flame" and "Back to square zero" are some of my personal favs) No, you can't correct her. She won't listen. People who are able to power through A.B.A's attempt to chase them off will find that she's normally very quiet. UNTIL...

-Volatile emotions: A.B.A feels everything intensely. When she's happy, she's thrilled to the point of fainting, when she's sad, she's an overdramatic mess. This kind of stuff just makes her sort of silly, but it's her more negative emotions that make her a danger. A.B.A's rage and jealousy can get so intense these days that it became her new mechanic in -Strive- It is very difficult to calm her down in this state, she might even need to have someone fight her out of it.

-Reliance on blood: Although powerful, A.B.A's downfall comes from a constant need to take in blood. This is performed by either infusions or just straight up drinking it, so she usually carries blood packs on her. (Labeled as "Super Body Fluid") The type of blood she takes in doesn't matter, as it all gets converted into her blood, which is some sort of inhuman mixture composed of mostly mercury. She'll be sure to request her cursed capri suns from the npcs.

✽ What was their last lie?
A.B.A does not make a habit of outright lying, she's surprisingly honest. That said, not everything she says is necessarily true, because she's often just...wrong. The closest she gets to "lying" is when she's bluffing and acting mean, or perhaps even how she lies to herself because even a part of her knows Paracelsus doesn't love her nearly as much as she lets on.

Abilities:
Oh boy, so since A.B.A is a Guilty Gear character, she's pretty much an overpowered disaster. Feel free to nerf anything. Since some of her skills require Paracelsus, she won't have access to them until she can get a replacement axe. Alas, her husband had to go and be his own character.

-Homunculus biology: As a homunculus, A.B.A is just naturally stronger than the typical human. Despite her frail appearance, she can lift heavy objects and weapons without them crushing her. It should be noted, however, that even though she drags Paracelsus everywhere, this still seems to take SOME strain on her. Like yes, girl can lift, but she can't...say, just pick up a car like it's nothing and throw it. An enraged A.B.A may momentarily find herself stronger thanks to adrenaline, which usually means she can run around easier while carrying a giant fuck you weapon.

On the defensive side of things, A.B.A's body is incredibly durable. She can survive attacks that would blow up the average person and walk away from them just fine. In one instance, she gets blown across the horizon and just finds herself grumpily reattaching her severed arm. That's also just a thing she can do. As long as A.B.A has blood, she can regenerate and heal from wounds instantaneously. (Obvs won't be in play if I decided to take a limb from her as a death penalty)

Like mentioned before, A.B.A's blood is mostly mercury, so bloodsuckers beware. Even the game's own vampires won't drink from her, they'll drink from Paracelsus instead. ...Somehow.

-Alchemy: A.B.A was able to teach herself alchemy, and since this is anime alchemy we're talking about, it means she can pull off some elemental attacks. In her case, she can shoot off fire and electric attacks. It doesn't really look like she uses these attacks much anymore as they are absent from -Strive-, but since she'll be without Paracelsus, it makes sense she'd pick them up again.

-Willpower: A.B.A has a strong resistance to mind control abilities

-Whatever the hell this is: Using her alchemy, A.B.A can summon these leech creatures to attack. She can only perform this if she has an axe as she needs a "key" to unlock it. Honestly, I expect this to get nerfed the most, I don't even know if this is from her power alone or if she's borrowing some of Paracelsus's without realizing it. That's definitely her alchemy door there. idk I'm just listing everything.

-Clairvoyance: A.B.A can see ghosts and other such spirits. No, they don't explain why or how. She just can. No wonder she's so scared all the time.
